Aim:

This two year full-time course is designed to provide students with the techniques and knowledge required to gain a recognised qualification in hairdressing allowing them to compete for employment in a salon environment.

Entry Requirements:

For entry into year two, students must achieve at least a merit in their QQI practical hairdressing examination, pass all other modules and have secured a two day per week placement in a hair salon.

 

Progression and Career Options:

Students who successfully complete year one may opt to take up Junior positions within the Hairdressing Industry. Students opting to complete year two will gain more advancd skills before taking up positions in the Hairdressing Industry.

Award

Students who successfully complete Year One will be awarded a Junior Trades Certificate and a QQI level 5 certificate in Hairdressing (5M3351).
