Hayek , was an Austrian-British economist and philosopher who is best known for his defence of classical liberalism. Hayek shared the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences with Gunnar Myrdal for his "pioneering work in the theory of money and economic fluctuations and [ Hayek served in World War I during his teenage years and said that this experience in the war and his desire to help avoid the mistakes that had led to the war drew him into economics. Hayek's academic life was mostly spent at the London School of Economics , and later at the University of Chicago , and the University of Freiburg. There are about 10 cities that have officially signed cooperation with domestic and foreign partners on the construction of Smart City in Vietnam, so far. Due to the difference of socio-economic characteristics as well as the consulting firms of different cities, each city has a different strategy to build Smart City. However, the technical architectural framework of cities in Vietnam has many things in common: priority in the areas of transport, health, education, food safety, environment, energy, and construction. The impact of Smart City is very wide in many fields and on the whole community, so often cities pilot first or apply partially according to certain areas. For example, technical infrastructure has not kept pace with urbanization, low productivity and quality of labor, weak economic potential compared to the region, national governance capacity including planning, strategic development. There are also some other reasons such as unclear concepts, criteria for building smart cities, no experience in implementation, no research projects to support and guide at the national level.. My interest is Smart Mobility which integrates all modes of transportation via wireless communications and applies real-time data analytics and machine learning to make transportation safer and more efficient.
Lateral violence is a multilayered, complex problem and because of this our strategies also need to be pitched at different levels. In Chapter 3 I have looked at the big picture, with the human rights framework as our overarching response to lateral violence. In this Chapter I will be taking our strategies to an even more practical level, looking at how we can create environments of cultural safety and security to address lateral violence.
